Sacrifice 

When you begin to help people it may seem like a sacrifice at first but at some point you begin to realize that it really isn’t a sacrifice much as it is a blessing. Blessings come in various forms and when God’s love is the driving force behind your motivation and sacrifice it will pay dividends every time.

Have you ever been on a missions trip?  I have. You go because you either hear the call or just want the experience. Either way you go thinking you will be a blessing. The plane takes off and you land in another country and as soon as you are greeted  at the gate you begin to realize that you are the one that is being blessed. The love and grateful hearts of those you aim to serve have already shown so much love that you know can’t be repaid.

See, that’s just it. When we love God more than anything or anyone our motivation behind everything we do will be His love which in return blesses us again and again. It’s not the blessing we seek. It’s the one in whom the blessings flow. He is worth any sacrifice.
