Forming a Lectio Group

Hello friends! I am forming a Lectio Divina Group. Lectio what? Glad you asked.

A Lectio Divina Group is a spiritual formation group that opens the door to contemplative listening to God, self, and others. In this group a Scripture passage is read several times with pauses and questions to ponder in between. This is an ancient way of praying with Scripture.

Lectio Divina is not a Bible Study where a group leader shares ideas or opinions and leads the group in a time of discussion, nor is it a support group.

Lectio is an experience in meditation with God as one looks at how a certain word or phrase in Scripture intersects their own life. As members share their experience, the group as a whole is enriched.
