Hesitancy in talking about your spiritual life?

Do you struggle in having conversations around your spiritual life? Perhaps some days, feel more resistant than others when it comes to putting language to what is happening in you. This could be something surfacing in your prayer life, your relationships, your work environment. Perhaps something from childhood keeps resurfacing. Any of these could be an entry point to pay attention to your spiritual life. Do all roads lead to God? Well, I have heard many different responses over the years. Some would say yes, and some would say absolutely not!

I’m not an expert in religion. But I am becoming more aware of how all parts of my life can be an entry point of where God wants to meet with me. In Spiritual Direction, we don’t go digging around to find God; we trust that God is already present, waiting for us to be curious about how God wants to be with us.

Do you have a place to wonder and be curious? Is it a place of compassion and non-judgement? Is it a place where the other is genuinely curious with you and doesn’t overshadow your authentic experience? Is it a place where you feel and experience God’s presence? I hope so.
