Oftentimes, I find Ivy staring outside. For having a dog, most of us would think this means she needs to potty, but not exactly. When I open the back door, during these times, she sticks her nose through the mosquito net or sits on the back patio. She sits, in what seems to be pure contentment, just staring at the trees and listening to the sounds. I like to wonder what she is thinking about or what she can hear that I can’t. Being still is one of the things I struggle with most, so in these moments, she is a great reminder to just sit and be.
