This…

Is…

Absolutely…

Beautiful!
Today, my last lily bloomed. The one I’ve been waiting on. It’s gorgeous.
This garden was created during my Sabbatical. I am amazed to look back over the last year to see how much has changed, how much has grown, and how much beauty has been brought forth because of that difficult season.
So much happens underground, in dark places where the sun doesn’t shine. Yet in the spring, plants find their way to top reaching toward the sun. I love this image.
The earth lets the plants know when they’re ready to take off. The earth must warm just a bit, and the right amount of spring rain pushes them up to the surface where they become visible. This is when humans begin looking for new growth.
Spring is an exciting season. As things begin to grow, I also see the work necessary in cultivating this beauty and place of serenity. There are weeds to pluck, grass to trim, and plants to water, prune, and fertilize.
This garden is a place where I feel my body in rhythm with my soul.
This is a beautiful way of being in the world.
