❤️ If you weren’t too keen on the title of the book, “When Narcissism Comes To Church,” you may appreciate this one. Both books call for honest reflection in our own lives first before we address others who use their power to abuse (knowingly or unknowingly) rather than to bless.
If you are a Christ- follower, our power must bless. That’s a true sign of discipleship.
Oh God, that I would be more aware of what I use my power for. I truly want to bless, but I know I haven’t always used it to bless. At times, fear or worry has gripped me and caused me to abuse unknowingly. It has caused me to force my views and opinions on others. It has caused my tongue to be sharp to those most dearest to me. Help me become more aware so I can consciously bless others, especially those who are closest to me and marginalized.
