Hello friends! Our Contemplative Prayer Group meets once a month at First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, SC.
This group meets to engage in a variety of contemplative practices such as Lectio Divina, Centering Prayer, Welcoming Prayer, developing Breath Prayers, Journaling, and other creative expressions of prayer.
Richard Rohr states, “contemplative prayer is a practice for a lifetime, never perfected yet always enough.” He also states, “contemplative practice gradually rewires our brains to perceive and respond to reality with love.”

If you are interested but undecided, I recommend attending the first session as a way to discern if this is something you would like to continue in once a month.

*Why Register? I’m glad you asked. We like to be prepared with whatever materials we will be using during our time together as well as be on the look out for you to arrive since we meet in the Parlor, away from the main entry.
