I love my visits with my Nana. She is aging and growing older. We don’t know when she will depart our physical presence, but for now I plan to visit as often as I can.
Occasionally I like to capture her words. They are both wise and funny. Here is a short conversation I captured yesterday.
Me: Nana, is it hard getting older?
Nana: I don’t know. I guess it is.
Me: Yeah, I imagine so.
Nana: Like you never know what age you need to be.
Me: Like some days you think you may be 87 and other times you feel like being 4?
Nana: Yes, I guess so… I don’t know how you make it. I just take it one day at a time until that day comes. It just gradually comes and then it goes.
