At times I can be stuck in the past or fixated on the future that I miss the love God is offering me in this present moment. God sent Christ to the world, not to die, but to give life in the present. Future planning is important, but not if I am missing what God is offering me today, right now. Am I aware of what’s happening in the present when I’m mulling over the past instead of learning from it? Or am I truly present when I’m fixated on the future?
Kali has a wonderful way of inviting me into the present moment with all of her playdough creations. She bakes cakes with candles, green apples, bacon, and cherries. She continually reminds me to enjoy the present. To sit, and eat, and enjoy what she has created.
I wonder what grace God is offering today? How am I being loved in this present moment?
