Book: When Narcissism Comes to Church

❤️ This book is quite a read.  I love how the author compelles us to first look at the narcissism that lies within each of us before we try to address it in the church.

I believe this book is an honest reflection of why so much trauma and spiritual abuse happens in the church.

The author often speaks of having someone to journey with as you are emotionally and spiritually maturing and healing. He speaks of therapists, spiritual directors, and other healthy companions who are doing their own work.

Read the book. You will find something that stops you in your tracks, makes you angry, or even opens your eyes. Be with that.  Invite God into that.  I feel this book has given me language to put with many experiences.  I’ve even seen my own narcissism past and present and unchecked it will continue to hurt others. God help. ❤️

Honesty is quite the opening for wholeness.
